Set up Avistio Edge.

Use a host that can run Docker Compose and reach your existing Frigate installation. Avistio Edge runs its own PostgreSQL service in the supplied Compose deployment. Home Assistant is optional and is only needed for alarm integration.

Obtain the current Edge Compose deployment, then start it:

docker compose up -d

Persistent configuration, installation secrets, and the Edge database are initialized automatically. Open the published Edge address, create the first administrator, and complete setup.

In Edge setup, enter the reachable Frigate URL and its configured credentials, then test and save the connection. Frigate remains the local NVR/video backend; recordings stay on the local installation.

Configure Home Assistant only when you want Avistio alarm integration. Enter the requested integration connection details in Edge; normal camera and video operation does not require Home Assistant.

Create a Cloud account, open My Sites, choose Add site, and enter the generated pairing code on Edge's Cloud page. Wait for pairing to complete. The 10-day Cloud trial starts only after the first successful pairing.

Create an Avistio account, open Partner, create a Partner organization, and choose Add customer site. Enter its pairing code on the customer's Edge, finish commissioning, then have the customer claim the site. The customer becomes owner; Partner status access remains separately consented.
